Senior High Amp! Camp

June 10-15, 2012

After a great first run last summer we are happy to bring back our week-long camp for Senior High students! Amp! Camp will feature many of the things you knew and loved as a Junior High camper and some new things that will allow you to take your camping experience to the next level as a young adult. There will be a featured Chapel speaker, use of a high-ropes course and advanced team building activities all designed to develop leadership skills that will help you Amplify your faith in everyday life!

You will also have the opportunity to practice those skills by assisting our summer staff in leading a Day Play for younger kids. Amp! Camp is also a prerequisite for our Counselor In Training (CIT) Program.

Counselor In Training (CIT) Program

We are pleased to announce a new and improved CIT experience for the summer of 2012! This is a program for 10th-12th graders who have attended or will be attending our Senior High Amp! Camp and have an interest in developing their leadership skills and learning about the responsibilities of life as part of a camp staff.

You will have the opportunity to return for another week of youth camping (in addition to Discovery Camp) during which you will be assigned to a counselor whom you will assist in their cabin. You will also spend time in discussion with the program director, assist in various large group activities, and take part in work projects.

Positions are limited and weeks available to CITs are determined by age. Amp! Camp is a pre-requisite for this program. Call Josh at the camp with any questions.

Frost Fire Ski Trip

January 27-29, 2012
5:00 pm (Friday) to 3:00 pm (Sunday)

Join us as we travel to the Frostfire Ski Area in scenic Walhalla, ND for a day of skiing or snowboarding!

We will meet at the camp Friday night for dinner then travel by bus to stay at Concordia Lutheran Church in Edmore, ND where we'll play board games and watch a movie. Saturday we'll head to Frostfire to spend some time on the slopes. Then we'll head back to Edmore for another evening of fellowship and fun. In the morning we will worship together and eat lunch at the church before returning to camp.

Pick up at the camp is at 3:00 pm. Cost includes lift ticket and ski or snowboard rental.

Cost: $90

Josh's Winter Survival Camp *cancelled

February 17-19, 2012
5:00 pm (Friday) to 1:00 pm (Sunday)

Not for the faint of heart, this new retreat will provide you with some of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences we have to offer. Besides the usual Bible studies, worship, and fellowship you will have opportunities to learn winter survival skills like building a snow shelter and starting a fire. You will also get to try snow shoeing, cross country skiing and perhaps ice-fishing. To top it all off we will have Helen Corlew, owner of Prairie Isle Dog Trekking, out to talk about the art of dog sledding. You will get to meet the dogs and get a ride out on the trails! This retreat is limited to 12 campers so sign up before it's too late!

Fall Fusion Retreat - RWBC Fusion 1.0

October 28-29, 2011
5:00 pm (Friday) to 1:00 pm (Saturday)

The AMP! Campers asked for it so here it is...an official retreat for Senior High students. We call this our Fusion Retreat because it is all about coming together and bonding. Join us for a time of rest, relaxation and fellowship. Go for a hike (weather permitting), watch movies and just hang out around the fireplace. Bring a friend or come by yourself and make some new ones at this gathering of the RWBC Senior High community! Bring shoes and weather appropriate clothing!
