Red Willow Ministries seeks to partner with churches and ministers to provide opportunities for youth to learn about missions and service, to learn more about the Bible, and to grow in their faith. We provide retreats, special events, summer camps and volunteer opportunities for the youth in your church and community.
If you don't see what you are looking for, give us a call and we will be happy to work with you on other ideas for our youth.
Red Willow periodically offers confirmation retreats for church groups.
Check the 7th - 9th Grade camp page for our current dates.
For students entering grades 7 - 12
Youth groups are invited to spend one or more days volunteering their time and talents at camp. Your group will help with the upkeep and maintenance of camp in the morning and early afternoon. In the afternoon take some time as a group to build community with team building activities and Bible study (you may do these things on your own or ask us to help). What camp experience is complete without worship, campfire, swimming, and games? It isn't! You will have the opportunity to do all of those activities as well. Your $15 a day will cover the cost of a Red Willow volunteer t-shirt, food, lodging, and staff time.
Youth groups must bring one chaperone for every eight campers of each gender. Please contact Allison at the camp to schedule your dates at least 2 weeks ahead of your desired dates.
Cost: $15.00 per day per student, chaperones are free.
"Life!"
The theme for VBS 2010 is: "Life!", based on Ephesians 2:10 - "For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life." Our enthusiastic staff will provide Bible studies based on the theme, music, games, and arts & crafts. This program is open to students entering grades 1-6. Children younger than this will find the program too challenging and long.
Red Willow will be leading VBS at area churches during the days of June 6 - 8, June 9 - 11, June 23 - 25, and July 25 - 27, 2010. Each VBS will run two and one half days. (Sun-Tues or Wed-Fri.) The first day being a half day and the second two days being full days running from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. It is possible to change the daily times of VBS to fit the needs and schedule of your church. There are a total of twelve slots available for VBS this summer, so register early!
Red Willow Ministries staff will lead all daily VBS activities. Housing and meals will need to be provided for RWM staff while they lead VBS at your church. The number of staff sent to your church is based on a ratio of one staff member to ten campers.
Each church will be asked to provide a daily snack for the campers and staff. We also request that an adult member of your church is present during VBS hours. Your church will be asked to provide basic arts and crafts supplies: glue, scissors, crayons etc.
The cost of VBS is $30.00 per camper with a minimum cost of $500.00 per church plus $100.00 for mileage. A $100.00 nonrefundable deposit is required to reserve VBS dates for your church.
