Summer Camp is beginning! There are a camps and activities planned for a variety of age groups and interests. Be sure to register today!

Church and Youth Group Programs

Counselors In Training

Ten high school students have signed on for a two week intensive training to give them an inside look at being a staff member of Red Willow Bible Camp.

They arrive June 8th to attend training through the 13th. They return to the camp on June 15, and assist our summer staff with our Creation Camp.

Vacation Bible School Begins

Starting in June, our teams of Bible Camp Staff will be providing activities, Bible Study, music and arts and crafts for children from 10 communities this summer. The theme for our program is "Follow The Leader" and will bring the story of God's Love alive to the participants.

Would you like Red Willow to lead your next VBS program? Contact Program Director Abbi Johnson at 701-676-2681 or ajohnson@mlgc.com to reserve your spot for 2009.

Hands and Feet

June 1-8 or July 27-31 or August 3-8

This summer, pastors and youth leaders are encouraged to bring their young people in grades 7-12 to camp to spend a few days or a week in volunteer service.

To register, call Abbi and ask about this great opportunity for young people to be involved in mission, and to experience all the best of summer camp life.

Upcoming Camps

Creation Camp

June 15-20, 2008 or August 3-8, 2008

This is what you think about when you think summer camp! 4th-6th graders gather for a week of swimming, roller skating, hiking and chapel. They will walk along with Jesus and his disciples during the Christ Hike. They learn that being a disciple of Christ is a lifelong calling.

Pathfinders, Outback Challenge and Volley Ball Camp

We have three different camps beginning on June 22nd.

Pathfinders is for 2nd and 3rd graders, and they learn all about the outdoors while living in a tipi or tent on the camp game field.

Outback Challenge is for 7th-9th graders, and they will journey to the far side of the lake to live in the tipi village. Our Environmental Education director and staff will lead the campers in many great outdoor adventures, while learning about God's wonderful creation.

Volleyball Camp is new, and designed for 7th-9th grade girls. They will have an opportunity to learn new skills and practice fundamentals with Coach Craig Case of Valley City.

There is still time to register for summer camp. Click here to register now.

Discovery Camp

Back for the umpteenth year-this is our camp for disabled adults. We will host 65 adults from June 30-July 3.

Volunteers are needed and welcome to help out with many different tasks during the 4 days they are at camp. Contact us to volunteer for this opportunity.

Save the Dates

Friends of Red Willow Appreciation Dinner

July 31, 2008 - 6:30 pm

Put this on your summer 'must do' list and head out to the camp for a great evening. We will recognize many of our outstanding volunteers, and introduce our staff and board of directors. Tour the camp and see some of the improvements we have made thanks to a great group of church and family groups.

Quilt Auction Ahead!

Quilt Appreciation Dinner:

August 21, 2008 - 5:30 pm

21st Annual Quilt Auction:

September 6, 2008

Every summer we host an appreciation dinner for our faithful and generous supporters. Put August 21 on your schedule, and come out for a dinner, speaker, and music. You will also get the first peak at the quilts and other items donated to the September 6th Quilt Auction.

The prized raffle quilt is done and raffle tickets will be available soon. Each WELCA group in the Eastern North Dakota Synod will receive a poster and tickets in June. Tickets are also available by contacting any board member or the camp office. All proceeds from the raffle and the quilt auction go directly to support the camps' ministry.

Keep an eye on our photo album to view the latest quilts added to the auction and our website for more information on the quilt auction.
